Air Fryer Tornado Potatoes (Print)

Spiraled potatoes, seasoned and air-fried for golden crunch and a fun, tasty snack or side.

# Ingredients:

→ Potatoes

01 - 4 medium russet potatoes, scrubbed

→ Seasoning

02 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
03 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
04 - 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
05 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
06 - 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

→ Optional Toppings

07 - 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
08 - 1 tablespoon freshly chopped parsley
09 - 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes

# Directions:

01 - Insert a long wooden or metal skewer lengthwise through the center of each potato.
02 - Holding the skewer, use a sharp knife to slice the potato in a spiral motion from one end to the other, rotating the potato as you go. Carefully stretch the potato along the skewer to provide even gaps between each coil.
03 - In a small bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper to form a seasoning blend.
04 - Brush or rub the seasoned mixture thoroughly over every spiraled potato, ensuring the mixture enters between the layers.
05 - Set the air fryer to 375°F and allow it to preheat for 3 minutes.
06 - Place the skewered potatoes into the air fryer basket, ensuring they do not make contact with each other.
07 - Cook for 20 to 25 minutes, turning the potatoes once midway through, until they are golden brown and have a crisp exterior.
08 - Optionally, top with Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, and chili flakes before serving.
