04 - 1 teaspoon soy sauce
05 - 1/2 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
06 - 1/4 teaspoon ground white pepper
07 - 1/4 teaspoon salt

08 - 24 square wonton wrappers
09 - Water for sealing

→ For Serving

10 - Sweet chili sauce or soy sauce for dipping
11 - Chopped fresh chives or coriander

# Directions:

01 - In a medium bowl, combine cream cheese, spring onions, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, white pepper, and salt. Mix until smooth and well combined.
02 - Place a wonton wrapper on a clean, dry surface. Spoon approximately 1 teaspoon of filling into the center.
03 - Dip your fingertip in water and moisten the edges of the wrapper. Fold into a triangle, pressing out any air and sealing the edges tightly.
04 - Optionally, bring the two bottom corners of the triangle together and seal with water to form a traditional wonton shape.
05 - Repeat filling and sealing process with remaining wrappers and filling.
06 - Preheat your air fryer to 350°F for 3 minutes.
07 - Lightly spray or brush the wontons with oil. Arrange in a single layer in the air fryer basket, working in batches if necessary.
08 - Air fry for 7 to 8 minutes, turning halfway through, until golden and crispy.
09 - Serve immediately while hot with sweet chili sauce or your preferred dipping sauce.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • Uses an air fryer for a lighter, healthier twist on a classic fried appetizer.
  • Perfectly balanced filling with aromatic garlic, soy sauce, and sesame oil.
  • Quick and easy to prepare in just 35 minutes, perfect for busy hosts.
02 -
  • Ensure the cream cheese is fully softened at room temperature to avoid lumps in the filling.
  • Press out all air while sealing the wrappers to prevent them from opening or puffing up excessively in the air fryer.
  • Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket; leave space for the air to circulate for an even, golden finish.
