Fig Brie Arugula Grilled Cheese (Print)

Golden sourdough with creamy Brie, sweet fig spread, and peppery arugula melted together for a gourmet twist.

# Ingredients:

→ Bread & Dairy

01 - 4 slices sourdough bread
02 - 4 oz Brie cheese, sliced
03 - 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened

→ Fruits & Greens

04 - 2 tbsp fig preserves
05 - 1 cup fresh arugula

→ Optional (for serving)

06 - Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

# Directions:

01 - Spread softened butter on one side of each sourdough slice.
02 - Place two bread slices butter-side down; evenly spread 1 tablespoon of fig preserves on each.
03 - Layer sliced Brie evenly over fig preserves, then add a generous handful of fresh arugula.
04 - Top with remaining bread slices, butter-side up.
05 - Warm a nonstick skillet or griddle over medium-low heat.
06 - Place sandwiches in skillet and cook 3 to 4 minutes per side, pressing gently until bread is golden and cheese melts.
07 - Remove from heat, let rest for 1 minute, slice, and serve. Optionally season with freshly ground black pepper.
